| I started GMD Electronics in 1986 to be experts in the Electronics Industry. I have observed people going to Radio Shack type stores with their Electronic needs and walk out without proper solutions and without their needs met correctly. I wanted to put our expertise to use and help people and business find the correct solution for their needs. We now service the consumer, small business, and even large corporations. |
| My father (Robert Dingley) was the one that got me started in electronics. While growing up, my dad worked for General Electric. He would bring home all the latest in electronics which fascinated and intrigued me. I remember the day when I was 7 years old when dad removed the back off our family black and white TV set. It was down due to a faulty electron tube. I saw all those glowing tubes and was hooked for life. At age 14 I became a Ham Radio Operator. At 17 I started working for a 100,000 watt radio station in Houston, Texas. I studied electronics in college and attended several technical schools. Later I spent several years at NASA and then went into broadcast television as the Chief Engineer for several different Television stations. To this day our company still maintains over 11 Radio and Television stations. Several times per year we are awarded contracts to install and maintain various electronic systems. |
